Earth Day Celebration: New Jersey Ecology

From April 3 to April 30, 2014, the Sister Mary Joseph Cunningham Library at the Georgian Court University will have a library display of ecology materials. Call the library for more information at +1 (732) 987-2419.

With No Means of Support to Subsist On: Wealth & Poverty in Revolutionary Monmouth County, NJ

Michael Adelberg will talk about how the poverty and economic landscape helped shape the state after the American Revolutionary War. This talk will happen at the Museum of Early Trades and Crafts on April 13, 2014.

The Girls at Liberty Hall: An Afternoon Tea in Paris

Your daughters will have the chance to eat a luncheon of finger sandwiches, sweets, iced tea, and lemonade using real china. Then you will be treated to a fashion show featuring historic children's clothing from the old times right up to the early 1900s. After that, let the girls enjoy a dress up session or go through the play tent. Free VIP bags to the first 15 girls to sign up.

Weird NJ: Local Legends & Best-Kept Secrets

Attend this lecture and learn more about the places, events and personalities that make the state weird yet interesting. These would include landmarks, the state song, the Jersey Devil and shipwrecks. This lecture happens at the Atlantic County Library on April 9, 2014.
